TWWS is a 3rd person open world video game for windows 64bit in development, currently in alpha state, by Silver Spur game studio.
Additionally, 'The Museum' is a separated area, where the player can discover historical facts related to the old west (people, movies, weapons etc) by listening to old records, watching short films, reading books and more. All through a first person experience.
TWWS is mainly focusing on the survival and building aspect of the old west era, but is also a shooter, an adventure, an educational and crafting game.
The player can roam and build anywhere in the story mode or participate in instanced exhibitions, minigames and building-specific zones.
TWWS, in Dec '22, after a total overhaul, is using high definition (4K and 8K) detailed models and environments, realistic customizable characters and motion captured animations. However, our team is spending hours to optimize each aspect so that the game will perform good even on lower end machines.
Focused on the old west era, at game release, the player will be able to roam freely in a vast 200 square kilometer map. Forests, Valleys, Mountains, Ghost Towns and more will be there to explore! Our goal is to increase the open world map beyond 2000 square kilometers, making TWWS, if not the biggest, one of the biggest active open world video games ever made.
We want TWWS to represent the time period as realistically as possible.
Our team is doing in-depth research before adding any item or text in the game.
We are working with old time magazines from the west and various online libraries.
Our cowboys don't visit the dentist every week for whitening. Their teeth are black from chewing tobacco and broken from last nights saloon brawl!
What would the Wild West be without the real and the fictional movie heroes?
During your journey, you will find and collect educational references, photographs and even 3d models of legendary revolvers, outlaws and sheriffs, iconic movie characters like 'Angel Eyes', 'Blondie', 'The Rifleman' and many more!
Later on, you will be able to decorate your home with all those collectables or visit the last floor of "The Museum" to see all your discovered artifacts in display!
The player is able to customize their playable character's appearance and attributes via the Character Customization Tool or select a unique Legacy character, after completing the corresponding story line quest. Each character will have their own characteristics, enhanced abilities but also weaknesses.
Later on, players who choose to support the game further will have the choice to add their face in the game as an NPC or even a playable character!
More than 60 domestic and combat pets will be part of the game (currently 19 in the main menu pet view window).
There will be many ways to obtain domestic pets. Tame them, purchase from a vendor, from rare achievements, minigames, exhibitions, treasure maps and more.
Combat pets (only in PvE servers, not usable in PvP servers), will be included with specific Patreon Tiers, as an appreciation to all those who choose to support us before release.
We are researching to find the actual prices of the time for various items to implement in the game. So, in TWWS you will buy and sell items based on the prices of that time period.
How does 2.5 cents for an egg sound?
How about 10 cents for a quart of beans?
Most importantly, our team loves the old west. Everyone is focused and determined to work hard to complete the main portion of the game and afterwards to expand it by adding more maps and features.
TWWS's development is not decided only by one person's decision. We are all determined to complete TWWS and support it afterwards, regardless the player base.
TWWS is mainly focused on PvE. After release, we will update the game for a 4 player co-op experience and later on, with dedicated PvE and PvP servers.
We prioritize player enjoyment and fair play. We believe that 'defensive' modes and insignificant penalties on harassing players do not eliminate 'griefing'.
So, PvP in PVE servers will be allowed only with the full consent from both players.
A small team of Graphics Designers, Programmers and Musicians are working every day, on their own time, to move TWWS a step closer to release.

We have also set a temporary weather system control in the zone, outside the mine entrance, for you to try out the Day/Night cycle as well as the weather system (Clear sky, Overcast, Thunderstorm, Snow, Sandstorm).
